Teaching workshop with Amanda Brooks 21st March
Amanda Brooks
Amanda is a fantastic Pilates Centre Boulder certified teacher who specialises in training Pilates teachers. Some of you may know Amanda well and therefore this takes no explaining but for those of you who don’t she is an excellent classical (authentic) Pilates teacher who has great energy and enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for Pilates. Amanda is soon to be leaving the UK so this is a rare opportunity.
The Workshop
So often teachers ask the question, "what cue should you use for this
exercise?" We will explore that teaching Pilates goes well
beyond having a good store of cues for each exercise. We will look
in-depth at a range of exercises on all apparatus and how they
present in different bodies, then work to develop cues "in the moment" which elicit optimum results from your clients and help to conserve your energy as a teacher.
We'll also review the most tricky to teach exercises, as voted by
workshop participants, so be sure to bring a list of exercises - 2 per
apparatus - that you often avoid or don't enjoy teaching.
